Full-Time Positions
RDCEP is currently hiring for the following full-time position(s):
Postdoctoral Scholars
RDCEP has open positions for postdoctoral scholars working broadly in climate and/or the socioeconomic impacts of climate change. For more information, contact Dr. Emily Padston. To apply, send a CV, cover letter, brief research statement, and the names of two references.
Students
Graduate students: Graduate students are an essential part of our research efforts. To seek a position with a RDCEP faculty member, contact them directly. RDCEP also supports the Data Science for Energy and Environmental Research (DSEER) program, an NSF-funded traineeship program for PhD students and academic MS students. DSEER fellows participate in coursework, seminars and workshops, and professional development programs, and generally receive two years of funding.
Undergraduates and “pre-docs”: RDCEP offers research assistantships and summer internships for undergraduate and postbaccalaureates, generally from UChicago but strong applications from other institutions will also be considered. See our Undergraduate Education page for information on applying. Interns during Summer 2020 will be expected to work remotely.
Summer High School Internships
In accordance with University of Chicago guidelines, we regret that the on-campus High School Summer Scholars program will not be offered during Summer 2020. We are offering live online programming courses for CPS students. High school students with extensive programming experience can also volunteer to help with these courses. Please contact Seth Severns for more information.
